Supreme Court President Faces Inquiry on Abuse Case

The Congress of Mexico City requested the president of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN), Norma Piña, to address the case of her collaborator Ricardo 'N', accused of sexual abuse of an employee of the highest court within its facilities. This request was supported by the coordinator of the Morena parliamentary group, Xóchitl Bravo, who urged the Attorney General’s Office of Mexico City and the Executive Commission for Victim Attention to provide support to the victim.

In her intervention, Xóchitl Bravo emphasized the importance of ensuring respect for women's rights and the eradication of gender violence. She also stressed the need for transparency in the investigation process carried out by the FGJCDMX. In the words of Deputy Bravo: 'It is noteworthy, due to the gravity of the accusation against her collaborator, the position that Minister Norma Piña takes regarding the complaint.'

Details revealed from the podium indicate that Ricardo 'N' was detained in the Historic Center of Mexico City seven days ago, following an arrest warrant for rape. The accused allegedly committed the crime of rape within the Supreme Court's facilities. It was mentioned that the detainee had held a position in the previous federal government and had been subordinate to Genaro García Luna.

Xóchitl Bravo emphasized the importance of protecting victims and ensuring that all complaints are investigated rigorously, respecting the rights of the parties involved. Additionally, it was revealed that Ricardo 'N' receives a net monthly salary that violates constitutional provisions regarding maximum salaries for officials.

Finally, during the ordinary session of the capital's Congress, a Point of Agreement presented by Xóchitl Bravo was approved for Minister Norma Piña to inform the collegiate body about this case, which has generated great concern in the judicial and political spheres of the country.
